Overview:

Working with trauma can present a variety of unique challenges which many therapists may not understand nor be familiar with. If you work with clients reporting loss of self, agonizing shame, emotional numbness, inability to bridge the gap between present and past, inability to feel safe, inability to connect with their body and/or self, inability to find words for their feelings due to trauma, you can benefit greatly from this workshop. This full-day workshop will draw on what we now know from the neuroscience revolution and will focus on several paths to recovery. The theoretical models and treatment approaches will be based on principles of Rational Emotive &Cognitive Behavior Therapy (RE&CBT) and on the latest research findings in the area of trauma and dissociation.
