She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from St. John’s University and her M.A. in psychology from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. Dr Woo obtained her B.Sc. in psychology from University College London, UK. She has been trained in REBT, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and empirically supported therapies. Her research interests are in the area of trauma and child maltreatment. She examined the role of meaning-making in young adults’ psychological adjustment to trauma in her dissertation, as well as children’s perceptions of child maltreatment in her master’s thesis.
