Eligibilty for Diplomate
REBT Supervisor or equivalent as determined by the Diplomate Board.
Minimum of 60 hours of formal REBT training/supervision.
Minimum of six years of REBT clinical experience measured from the date of award of highest degree or date of licensure, whichever occurs later.
Doctoral degree in a mental health discipline or closely allied field as determined by the Diplomate Board.*
Adherence to APA/ACA/NASW/NBCC (or similar professional bodies in other jurisdictions) ethical and professional guidelines.
No current disciplinary actions pending.
No past disciplinary actions resulting in suspension or revocation of license in the past 10 years.
Two letters of recommendation from Diplomates in REBT.
Written case study (not to exceed five pages double spaced) including diagnosis, treatment plan, and recordings of two actual sessions.
* An individual who has actively practiced for at least 15 years after being licensed, may be considered without having been awarded a doctoral level degree.
