Tis’ the season….for managing difficult family members, for multiple office holiday parties, for just one more slice of pie. We often make excuses for over-indulging during the holiday season; however, sometimes, we eat to numb ourselves from uncomfortable feelings such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, and boredom. If this scenario sounds familiar, then this lecture is for you! Come learn the triggers of your emotional eating, and more importantly, effective strategies for overcoming this self-sabotaging behavior.

Are you stressed about your looming mid-term exams? Have a history of worry about an upcoming test? Do you put off studying until the last minute out of dread? Or do you freeze the second you are handed the exam? If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, this workshop is for you! There are a number of emotional and behavioral factors that can influence your performance and preparation for tests of any type. Based on the effective techniques of Rational Emotive & Cognitive Behavior Therapy (RE&CBT), you will learn how to identify and challenge irrational beliefs that fuel test anxiety. Participants will also learn how to adopt relaxation and behavioral strategies before, during, and after the exam that will minimize anxiety and maximize preparation and performance.
