Thomas Kelly, M.S. is a pre-doctoral extern at AEI and a fourth year doctoral student in the School Psychology Psy.D. program at St. John’s University. He received his B.A. in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College and his M.S. in School Psychology from St. John’s University. Mr. Kelly has experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral consultation in both school and outpatient settings for a variety of internalizing and externalizing disorders, such as ADHD, ODD, and Selective Mutism. Moreover, he has completed comprehensive psycho-educational assessments, especially of specific learning disorders in both of these settings. Mr. Kelly has specific clinical interests in the treatment of internalizing disorders, with an emphasis on depression. Additionally, his research interests include the comparisons of automatic thoughts and irrational beliefs in children and adolescents, as well as across cultures, the use of cognitive-behavioral therapies in school settings, and psycho-educational assessment.
