Amanda Neal, Psy.D. is a staff therapist at Albert Ellis Institute.  During her graduate studies, Dr. Neal received advanced clinical training in the assessment and treatment of various mental health disorders where she holds gold-standard certifications. She previously served as clinical coordinator for two therapeutic training institutes, the Child and Family Trauma Institute and the Diagnostic and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders, at Hofstra University. Her clinical specialties include mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma-related disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders.  Dr. Neal works with adolescents, adults, families, and parents in both individual and group sessions.  In addition to her clinical experiences, Dr. Neal has a background in teaching and education. She has held educator and psychological support roles in elementary through high school and at the collegiate level.  Most recently, she joined the faculty at St. Francis College as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology.
