Dr. Oliver is a staff psychologist at Albert Ellis Institute. She earned her B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University. Dr. Oliver went on to receive her M.S. and Psy.D. in School Psychology from St. John’s University and is a licensed psychologist. Her doctoral dissertation examined the role of race in educational decision-making. Dr. Oliver has experience treating adults and adolescents presenting with various internalizing and externalizing disorders, including Anxiety Disorders, anger-related disorders, and relationship challenges. She also has experience providing school-based behavioral consultation, psychological assessments, and intervention services. In addition to treating individuals and couples at Albert Ellis Institute, Dr. Oliver has served as a supervising psychologist for the School-Based Mental Health Collaboration program at Teachers College, Columbia University and consults with schools across New York City. Dr. Oliver’s clinical and research interests focus on the improved application of empirically validated treatments for underserved populations.
