Jessica Ortsman, M.S., is a pre-doctoral intern at Albert Ellis Institute and fourth-year doctoral candidate in School-Community Psychology at Hofstra University, where she also completed her master’s degree. With a robust background in psychology and education, Ms. Ortsman has provided counseling to children with various trauma disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and learning disabilities, often alongside co-morbid conditions. Additionally, she has conducted psychoeducational evaluations for children and young adults facing diverse social-emotional challenges and disruptive behavior disorders. Ms. Ortsman has also performed forensic evaluations and psychological assessments. Her professional experience includes delivering individual and group therapy in various settings, such as schools and community mental health clinics. Furthermore, she has facilitated therapeutic interventions for families experiencing complex issues like abuse, trauma, and neglect.
